A man had to be rescued after breaking his shin while on a muddy path near Leigh station.
The 58-year-old man was walking along the path, which runs parallel to the railway line towards Hadleigh Castle, at around 10.30am today when he slipped and fell.
Fortunately, he had his mobile phone with him and managed to call for an ambulance.
Staff found him stuck in the boggy conditions.
