A motorcyclist died following a collision with other vehicles on his way back home.
The 39-year-old Southend man had just left work at the Purdeys Industrial Estate in Rochford when the accident happened at 5.10pm yesterday (Tuesday).
He had just overtaken one vehicle on his black Honda on the stretch of Sutton Road between the industrial estate and Shopland Road when he and two others collided.
The motorcyclist was treated by ambulance staff at the scene and taken to Southend Hospital.
The other vehicles involved were a blue Ford Fiesta driven by a 24-year-old Wakering man, a red Ford Transit van driven by a 43-year-old Rochford man, and a blue Vauxhall Astra driven by a 31-year-old Wakering man.
