A family has been left homeless after one of the children started a fire in a bedroom.
Southend firefighters were called to the terraced house in Browling Avenue yesterday (Tuesday) morning and managed to limit the damage to the bedroom and smoke damage throughout the first floor.
Meanwhile the children, who are all under the age of five, had got out of the house safely.
