Police hunting a gang of youths who robbed a man days after he had his bike stolen have released a description of one of the main thugs.
The 21-year-old victim was walking through Fair Mead, Basildon, when he spotted three teens walking along with a quad bike, identical to one stolen from him only days earlier.
After he approached the youngsters to ask where they got the bike from, a 15-strong gang emerged from a nearby alleyway and demand he hand over his cash.
The victim handed over £150 cash and the thugs fled.
Investigating officer PC Joanne Borawski said of the attack: "This man has been very unlucky and lost a lot of money.
"We are not sure who stole his bike in the first instance, but we want to identify those who stole the money from him. We are looking to speak to any witnesses to the attack near the Willows Primary School or anyone who can recognise one of the assailants from the description provided."
The yob who demanded money from the victim is described as white, 6ft tall of average build with short, black cropped hair.
He wore a black hooded top and tracksuit bottoms.
