A COUPLE accused of burgling more than 30 homes just weeks after entering the country, have appeared in court.
Romanians Mariana Sandra, 43, and Ovidio-Constantin Plamada, 31, both of High Road, Ilford, are alleged to have stolen jewellery, electricals and cash, from homes in Basildon, Thurrock, Hertfordshire, and Kent.
The couple were due to appear at Basildon Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on Friday.
The case was adjourned until March 6 because the Crown Prosecution Service needed more time.
Sandra and Plamada were remanded in custody until their next appearance.
