A YOUNG twinkletoes is set to dance her way across the West End stage in the big new production of Fiddler on the Roof.
Kirsty Hickey, 11, is appearing at the Savoy Theatre in the musical about a Jewish milkman who struggles to keep his daughters in check.
Kirsty is to play Bielke, one of those daughters - coincidentally the very role younger sister Lucy-Anne, eight, played in the New Empire Theatre's production of the show last November.
She joked: "Lucy-Anne did the part as well, so she'll be sitting in her seat knowing all the lines."
The former pupil of Our Lady of Lourdes School, Leigh, has performed for local drama groups including Leigh Operatic and Dramatic Sociery, Southend Operatic and Dramatic Society and the Little Theatre Club.
She now goes to the prestigious Sylvia Young Stage School, in London, and has just finished another West End run - in Billy Elliot.
Mum, Rita Hickey, of Elmsleigh Drive, Leigh, added: "It's hard work, but Kirsty loves it. I have been told she thrives on it."
