A TALENTED youngster starring in a West End production is organising a trip to see the show to raise money for her church hall.
Kirsty Hickey, 11, of Elmsleigh Drive, Leigh, is playing the part of Bielke in Fiddler on the Roof, at London's Savoy Theatre, and is organising a group outing to see the show.
Funds raised from the trip will go towards a new hall at Our Lady of Lourdes church, in Manchester Drive, Leigh.
Kirsty said: "I only started last week but it's been really good. I wanted to do something to help the church so we could get a new church hall."
Kirsty and her mum Rita have managed to organise a deal, complete with pick-up and drop-off by coach.
The musical opened in London two weeks ago and tells the story of a Jewish milkman who struggles to keep his daughters in check.
Mrs Hickey said: "It's a fantastic show. Kirsty's very generous and wanted to help people.
"It is her way of saying thank-you to the people who have supported her."
There are two performances available: A matinee on Wednesday, July 4, at 2.30pm, which costs £35 including coach; and Friday, July 20, at 7.30pm, which costs £45 including coach.
The package will include the best seats in the dress circle or stalls, which normally cost £55 each.
For matinee tickets, call Jan on 01702 478105 and for Friday evening tickets, call Rita on 07947 650789.
