PUPILS’ favourite film characters came to life as they dressed in eye-catching fancy dress costumes to bring fun to lessons in lockdown.
Lee Chapel Primary School children and teachers took inspiration from their favourite movies as they returned to the Basildon school before the latest restrictions. Most pupils are now being made to contend with home schooling.
While teachers have also been getting into character for the online lessons, close to 300 children whose parents are key workers have continued learning on site at Lee Chapel.
Sue Jackson is pleased to have seen pupils and teachers having fun while working in these difficult times.
She said: “Despite the new lockdown measures, the staff and children have taken the changes all in their stride.
“At Lee Chapel we now have a dedicated online team, teaching live virtual classes every day as well as teachers in school for the 296 key worker children.”
Assistant headteacher Shiven Chetty added: “The children have loved dressing up.
“Getting into fancy dress was great in making everyone smile.”
