Covid cases are dropping by at least 30 per cent across Basildon - as there are signs the latest lockdown is starting to take affect.
New Government figures show many parts of the borough are recording a reduction in the number of positive cases.

But it comes after more than fifty deaths were recorded at south Essex hospital trusts, the latest figures have revealed.
At Southend Hospital 24 deaths were recorded in the latest period, while at Basildon Hospital 32 deaths were reported.

Total cases: 39 -19 (-32.8%)
Whitmore Way & Fremnells
Total cases: 52 -20 (-27.8%)
Steeple View & Noak Bridge
Total cases: 39 -24 (-38.1%)
Bursteads
Total cases: 21 -19 (-47.5%)
Billericay Tye Common
Total cases: 22 -13 (-37.1%)
