A doctors surgery in Hockley has urged patients to not contact them asking to be put in a higher priority group as they wait for the Covid vaccine.
Greensward surgery has insisted that they cannot change residents' eligibility based on their employment unless they are Health or Social Care staff.
The surgery has also reminded patients that they do not have a "stand-by-list" for spare vaccines.
Anyone who is eligible for the vaccine will be contacted by the surgery if they have any spare jabs at the end of the day.
In a post, Greensward surgery said: "Please, please, please can we politely request again that patients do not contact us via telephone or email asking if they can be put in to a higher priority group, or added to a "stand-by-list".
"We cannot change eligibility based on your employment unless you are Health or Social Care staff. Nor do we hold a "stand-by-list" for spare vaccines.
"If we have vaccines at the end of a clinic, we will contact patients in an eligible cohort and offer it to them.
"We cannot stress enough how dealing with these queries taking up valuable time which would be used to book our next vaccine clinic for eligible patients."
