A 17-year-old from Leigh has been arrested on suspicion of murder after Essex Police launched a murder investigation into the death of Luke Bellfield.

Essex Police made the arrest last night. 

They are no longer looking for Alfie Pollard. 

A 20-year-old woman from Westcliff was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

A 20-year-old man from Southend was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

A 17-year-old boy from Kent as arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and theft of a motor vehicle. 

All four remain in custody this morning. 

Police launched a murder investigation after 18-year-old Luke was taken to hospital with stab wounds on Friday evening.

He died a short while after. 

A post mortem examination found he died as a result of a single stab wound to the heart.

Two men who were arrested in connection with the investigation have been released on bail until March 24 while they continue their enquiries.
