The World Snooker Championships came to an end last week, with our very own Stuart Bingham falling agonisingly short of clinching the title.
Bingham, who was crowned the 2015 world champion at the Crucible, suffered a nail-biting defeat to Mark Selby in the semi-finals.
But the scenes of sports fans heading back to events after the relaxing of some coronavirus restrictions had us delving into our archives for nostalgic snooker shots.
Snooker halls have been very popular over the years, drawing big names and residents.
Six-time world champion Steve Davis headed to a south Essex snooker hall in 1988, while one-time ladies title holder Ann-Marie Farren visited a Southend High School for Boys fete in 1990.
