SLEET and snow is expected to fall across the south-east for most of the day, according to the Met Office.
They have issued a severe weather warning and expect between two and five centimetres to settle across south Essex, particularly over the hills.
The snow fell from the north right down to London, where 50 flights were cancelled from Heathrow's terimnal 5.
A BA spokeswoman said these new cancellations had been due to the weather.
The Met Office prediction for tomorrow is wintry showers for most places with some sunshine in-between.
Some longer spells of sleet or snow will affect the north and possibly the south of the country as well.
