ZIMBABWEANS in south Essex plan a protest march on the South African embassy in in London about the elections in their home country.
The nation's electoral commission is yet to release the full official results from the March 29 vote, prompting fears the delays raise the chances President Robert Mugabe will rig the outcome.
The opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change, insists it has won the election and is demanding the results be released. Washington Ali, 36, from Southend, the former chairman of the opposition group's UK branch, said he planned the protest to encourage African leaders to take a stand before there is more bloodshed.
He said: "Some of the African leaders are letting us down."
