MEMBERS of Benfleet Cricket Club spent their weekend spring cleaning and repairing their facilities at their ground in Woodside Park.
Work at the club, in Manor Road, involved painting and decorating the club house, fitting a new kitchen and the installation of new fence posts around the bottom square.
The season starts with a cup match at home on April 26 and the year continues with a match almost every weekend.
Social secretary, Pat Tremain, said: "It's really good to see how many members and friends of the club come along to help us get ready for the forthcoming season. I'd like to thank them all for their hard work."
The spruce-up has come in time for a visit from England ladies cricket captain Charlotte Edwards next month.
