A GANG armed with handguns and a knife raided a home yesterday morning.
Four men broke into the house in Ravenscourt Drive, Basildon, at about 2am and stole a safe containing a four-figure sum of money and financial documents.
A man, one of three occupants in the house, was assaulted and suffered minor injuries.
One crook was black, chubby, aged 27 to 28, 6ft tall, with a shaved head. Another was also black, 6ft 4ins, aged about 26 or 27.
The third was white, 6ft, and aged in his late teens or early twenties, while the other thief was dark-skinned, short and skinny. Call police on 01268 532212.
