ROWDY residents in Castle Point should watch out because the borough noise service will be working overtime this summer.
The council's out-of-hours noise reporting line was launched last summer to help residents report rowdy neighbours.
During the winter months the service alternates between Friday and Saturday nights from 9.30pm to 2.30am. The summer service starts on May 2 and means complaints can be reported on both Fridays and Saturdays.
The service is being run in partnership with Basildon Council.
Ray Howard, councillor responsible for the environment, said: "We set up the service last summer following requests from the public and it worked really well.
"We don't want to stop people enjoying themselves, but just ask that residents are considerate to others."
To report a noise problem out-of-hours, residents should contact 01268 758357. Calls will be connected to an operator who will need your name, address and telephone number as well as information about the nuisance you are experiencing.
