RETIRED residents have seen a whole new world open up to them by learning how to use a computer.
The pilot scheme at Adams Elm House, in Leigh, has seen a group of pensioners use a computer, some for the first time in their lives.
Hannah Fischer, 79, said: "I hope to use the internet and keep in contact with my granddaughter in California."
