THE FAMILY of a man who died when his car smashed into a set of traffic lights outside the council offices in Benfleet have spoken out in memory of their son.
Electrical engineer Andrew Coe, 46, of Saxonville, Benfleet, suffered a brain aneurysm at the wheel of his blue Kia Sorrento on Tuesday April 8.
He lost control and ploughed into the traffic lights.
In a statement released by Essex Police, his parents, Brenda and Ron Coe, and brother Russell, 43 said: "In loving memory of our dear son and brother to Russell, Andrew Coe, known as Andy, an electronic engineer passed away on April 11.
"All of his organs have been donated and one of his kidneys has already saved a boy of 12 who had only days to live."
Friends and colleagues are welsome to attend the funeral which will be held at Basildon Crematorium on Monday April 21.
The family ask that all donations go to the Essex Air Ambulance which airlifted Mr Coe to Medway hospital.
