TWO swimming teachers are taking the plunge to raise funds for the renovation of a school pool.
Gillian Griffith and Caroline Grange are taking part in a skydive in aid of West Leigh Junior School's swimming pool.
The cash raised will help pay for new changing rooms, showers, toilets, a porch at the front of the building, and viewing facilities.
Mrs Griffith said: "Our changing rooms are very tatty, so we are trying to raise funds to have them refurbished, and the showering facilities.
"We want to update it and bring it up to 2008.
"We are in the water all day long so we didn't really want to do a sponsored swim, so we thought we'd do a skydive.
"As soon as we said it we booked it straight away.
"We're getting as many people as we can to sponsor us.
"There are lots of people who've come through the school and now left. I just hope if people see this and know us from the past they might come forward to sponsor us."
The swimming teachers, who both work at the school, will head to Attleborough Airfield, in Norfolk, for their their skydive on Saturday, May 10. To sponsor them call 01702 471037.
