A special meeting is to be held to discuss ways of stopping antisocial behaviour on Orsett Heath.
The Chadwell Community Forum devoted will be trying to thrash out ways to stop quadbikers and motorcyclists illegally using the heath.
The meeting will be held in the small hall of Herringham Primary School in St Mary's Road.
Forum chairman, Peter Saunders said: "This is a chance for residents to hear the options that are available for the heath and Chadwell recreation ground and to enable a view to be taken on the preferred way forward.
"It is hoped that by doing this the heath can be taken back from the antisocial element that seems at times to have sole use of it for their illegal quad and motorbiking, and become a proper leisure resource for the whole of the community."
Thurrock Council's community services manager, Simon Black and a member of the play-area services team will attend the meeting.
The local police have been asked to attend. The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 8, starting at 7.30pm. Call 01375 858288 for more information.
