A MAN has been charged with the murder of a homeless man whose dead body was found inside a derelict scout hut.
Murder squad detectives charged 38-year-old Paul Tobin on Saturday evening at Basildon Police Station.
Unemployed Tobin, of Witchards, Basildon, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday) morning.
A murder hunt was launched after the dead body of 45-year-old rough sleeper Mr Woodley was found inside a disused scout hut in Kingswood Park, off Clay Hill Road on Wednesday afternoon
