UNDERPRIVILEGED and disabled children enjoyed a belated Easter party.
About 150 youngsters from Southend, Rayleigh, Rochford and Castle Point enjoyed the event at St Thomas More High School, Westcliff.
It was organised by the Southend Taxi Drivers' Charity Fund, which involves drivers from south east Essex area, and helps local youngsters and their families.
The event was supported by the Leigh and Rayleigh Lions clubs.
The kids were entertained by members of the Morgan Academy of Performing Arts in Leigh, who sang and danced for them, as well as a troupe of belly dancers.
President Brian Houssart said: "It was a fantastic day. It wasn't just the disabled kids who came, but their brothers and sisters as well, so it was a respite day for the whole family."
The charity's work is carried out by volunteers, including taxi drivers and local companies. For more information, call 01702 524749.
