EVERYTHING from archery to metal detecting and mineral rock collecting to jewellery-making were celebrated at a special exhibition in Canvey.
The island's first hobbies exhibition, held at the Heritage Centre in Canvey Road, proved to be a huge success.
The two-day event saw enthusiasts packing out the centre with equipment and memorabilia connected to a variety of interests.
Jim Harris, of the Canvey Heritage Photographic Group, who organised the event, said many people turned up to see it.
He added: "This was our first ever hobbies exhibition and it's been a great success.
"We've had a such a diverse range of hobbies celebrated, from displays about the Great War and Scott of the Antarctic to fishing and archery equipment on show, nostalgic photographs and flower arranging.
"We hope to hold another exhibition later in the year."
