PUPILS at a Canvey school were transported back in time thanks to a theatre company.
Year 7 pupils at Furtherwick Park School took part in Medieval Day. They were entertained by the Arriane-bann Theatre Company - experts in the medieval period.
The group performed in medieval costume and brought in historical artefacts, such as stocks. Topics covered included kings and queens, disease and medicine, the royal courts, fashion, crime and punishment, and medieval warfare.
Humanities teacher Matthew Elliott said: "Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
"We would like to thank the Arriane-bann Theatre Company for putting on a great performance for us."
Pupil Molly Perkins said: "We really enjoyed being on stage and wearing some of the costumes from medieval times."
