FED-UP residents have been waiting two years for the council to cut back sprawling trees.
Phil Baker, 41, and his neighbour Ken Keeping, 61, of Tinkler Side, Basildon, say they have asked the council to send down tree surgeons at least a dozen times since 2006.
The row of overgrown trees are pushing over a fence, running alongside Mr Baker's fence.
They also tower above a communal parking area, leading to fears they are blocking out too much light.
Basildson Council spokesman Chris Johnson said: "We inspected the trees earlier this year and have scheduled work to be undertaken."
