A MAN robbed a disabled man after trapping him in the boot of his specially-adapted car.
The 52-year-old arthritis sufferer was subjected to the attack at the ground-floor of the Asda car park at Eastgate shopping centre, Basildon.
The victim, who struggles to walk without crutches, was arranging his shopping in the back of his black Vauxhall Corsa when the culprit attacked him from behind.
He bashed him over the head, knocked him into the boot and trapped his upper body with the boot lid.
The thief then rifled through his back pockets, taking all he had, £40.
The attack happened at lunchtime on Tuesday.
Anyone with information should call police on 0300 3334444.
