A CAMPAIGN to cut down carbon emissions has been launched in Southend.
Cut your Carbon is a three-year campaign that aims to bring together communities in the East of England to tackle climate change.
It is run by the East of England Development Agency.
Groups can fight for a slice of £2.5million of funding, which will be given to the most creative or innovative projects to cut emissions. The competition is open to groups of friends, neighbours, community groups, sports clubs and businesses.
Two carbon heroes were in Southend last Friday to promote the campaign and urge community groups to get involved.
