A MAN was punched, kicked and then robbed by a woman - for just £2.
The victim, a 24-year-old from Grays, was sitting on the ground at a bus stop on Claudian Way, Grays, when the woman asked if he would give her £1.
When he said he had only enough money for his bus fare, the woman slapped him in the face.
The victim then handed over some change, but the robber said it "wasn't good enough" and began hitting and kicking him.
She fled with £2. The man suffered swelling to his head.
The attacker was white, aged 18 to 23, around 5ft 9ins tall with "dirty blonde" hair.
She was slim and wore a light-coloured top, jeans and red shoes.
Witnesses to the robbery, which happened at 10.25pm on Friday, can contact police at Grays on 0300 333 4444.
