TWO professional footballers scored a big hit with pupils when they dropped into their school assembly to answer questions.
Youngsters from Thameside Infants School gave a warm welcome to Grays Athletic players Jon Ashton and Aaron O'Connor.
After talking to the children about the importance of eating healthily and drinking plenty of water, the players took part in a question and answer session.
Kevin Lamb, spokesman for Grays Athletic, said: "Jon and Aaron answered all sorts of questions - mainly about what it's like being a football player and what famous football stars they have met.
"They also took pupils through some exercises, so the whole infant school was jumping up and down getting fit.
The visit was part of Grays Athletic's community liaison programme, where players visit schools to talk about health and fitness.
