POLICE and council officers will be involved in a series of drop-in sessions on a bus which will trek across Thurrock.
The sessions will allow people to ask housing and police officers questions, and get free computer use.
The Get On 2 Get On bus visits start on Sunday in Purfleet, but more are planned.
Following Sunday's event in Purfleet, the next stop will be at The Forum, Derwent parade, South Ockendon, between noon and 3pm on Monday, May 12.
Other visits planned for May include:
- Tuesday, May 13, Chadwell St Mary high rise (1pm to 3pm)
- Thursday, May 15, Wills Hill, Stanford-le-Hope (1pm to 3pm)
- Monday, May 19, Broadway and high rise area (9am to 11am)
- Monday, May 19, Stanford House, East Tilbury (1.30pm to 3.30pm)
- Tuesday, May 27, Civic Hall, Blackshots lane, Grays (10am to noon).
Members of the local Neighbourhood Policing Teams will be at each venue.
The drop-in sessions are a joint venture run by Ngage - the organisation which offers support and community engagement - Thurrock Council, Essex Police and Thurrock Adult Community College.
Billy Rae, Thurrock Council's interim head of housing, said: "The Get On 2 Get On bus is a tremendous way for local people to meet council and police officers in an informal and comfortable setting.
" If you get the chance to go along, take it. We are always willing to listen to your views about the services we provide."
