DETECTIVES are hunting a crook who robbed a convenience store of £200 after threatening the terrified cashier with a gun.
The man walked into the One Stop Shop in Marsh View Court, Vange, at 8.45am today and pointed what was thought to have been a handgun at the cashier - a woman in her early twenties.
He threatened the worker and ordered her to hand over the contents of the till, which was around £200.
The culprit was a white man aged in his mid-twenties and around 6ft tall. He was clean shaven and had a clear complexion.
He was wearing a grey tracksuit with the hood up and wore black trainers.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact them urgently.
Anyone with information should contact DC Lee Drury 0300 3334444.
