A PEDESTRIAN suffered serious leg injuries when she was pinned to a wall by a car following a three-vehicle smash in Benfleet.
The woman, 28, was leaving Riverside Veterinary Surgery on the corner of London Road and Downer Road when she was hit by a silver Peugeot 206.
It ploughed into her after being hit from behind by a blue Fiat Punto and a green Ford Fiesta at around 12.15pm yesterday.
None of the other drivers were seriously hurt.
The driver of the Peugeot, a woman in her eighties who lives in Benfleet, was treated for minor neck and back injuries.
The driver of the Punto, a pregnant woman in her thirties, was also taken to Basildon hospital to be treated for minor chest injuries.
The Fiesta driver, an 18-year-old man from Wickford, was uninjured.
