AN actor who is set to play a goblin in the next Harry Potter film will be at the Foulness Island bike ride next month.
Mike Edmonds is a member of Thorpe Bay Rotary Club, which organises the event.
He will be signing autographs at the ride on Sunday, September 13, which this year will raise funds for Southend Hospital’s Bosom Pals Appeal.
Mr Edmonds, from Westcliff, will soon start filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in his role as one of the goblins charged with guarding Gringotts Bank.
He said: “I do quite a bit for the Rotary club. Both my parents died from cancer, so anything I can do to give something back is good. I start filming for Harry Potter in October and I’m really looking forward to it.”
The actor has also been in Star Wars as Logray, the Ewok sharman. He was also Little Ron in children’s TV series Maid Marian and her Merry Men.
