LESS residents are venturing onto roads as freezing weather and snow continues across the county.
Essex Police said there has been a reduction in the number of cars on the county's roads as many people appear to be working from home.
Officers have attended a number of incidents but said there have been no major accidents on the roads so far.
Police are still advising people to stay at home and to only travel if their journeys are essential, roads and especially side roads are likely to be covered in dangerous black ice.
Anyone thinking about heading out onto the roads are urged to take a charged mobile phone, warm clothing, a blanket and a hot drink in case of a breakdown.
