A WESTCLIFF shop is celebrating after raising more than £1,000 for the Poppy Appeal.
For two days, Sally’s Out of Curiosity Shop, in London Road, almost stopped the traffic with a shop front festooned with camouflage netting, flags and an army vehicle.
Now the counting has stopped and owner Sally Tyrie says £1,156 was collected for the appeal during November.
She added: “Everyone was dressed in authentic wartime costumes and the response from the public was overwhelming.
“There was Forties music playing all day, with people singing and dancing in the street.”
