FIRE crews were twice called to Chalkwell Park in Westcliff after arsonists torched toilets then some bushes.
The first call was about 1.30pm after toilets seats in the park were set alight, seemingly by toilet paper piled on top of the seats and ignited.
The second was when about two to three square metres of bushes and trees went up in flames about 45 minutes later.
Firefighters from Leigh station spent about half an hour putting out the first incident and 15 minutes at the second.
They were further called to a rubbish fire at the derelict Albany Laundry site in Nelson Road, Leigh, about 3.30pm and spent half an hour there.
Leading firefighter Kevin Wheeler said: "Again, youths were seen setting fire to stuff."
