A MAN has been stabbed in an alleyway in broad daylight.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in an alley by Bircham Road, Southend, near the Grainger Road Industrial Estate.
The victim, a man in his 20s from Chelmsford, received a deep cut to his buttock which needed surgery at Southend Hospital.
The suspect is described as white, about 22 years old, of medium build and with short, cropped blond hair.
He was wearing a grey Adidas tracksuit with white stripes down both sleeves and the legs of the bottoms.
DC Andy Coles said: “The attack on this man was during a time of day when the area was likely to be busy.
"I am appealing for any witnesses to contact me as soon as possible.”
The attack took place between 9.30am and 10.15am last Sunday, November 7.
