THREE people were taken to Southend Hospital following a rush hour crash this morning at Rayleigh Weir.

At least four vehicles including a lorry were involved when they collided on the London bound carriageway of the A127 shortly before 8.30am.

All three emergency services attended the scene which blocked the road and firefighters were needed to help people from the vehicles.

Police have confirmed a silver Ford Focus, a blue Peugeot, a grey Renault Clio and a white lorry were involved.

The people taken to Southend Hospital all complained of neck pains but the A127 is now open.
