A FORMER Blues player has denied an attack which left a man with head injuries.
A lawyer entered a not guilty plea on behalf of Lee Barnard after the striker was stranded in Spain.
He was due home on Tuesday after a holiday but his flight was cancelled due to an electrical storm.
Barnard, 26, of Ocean Village, Southampton, who now plays for Southampton United, is accused of an attack outside a bar in the club’s town centre. He is facing a charge of actual bodily harm relating to the incident on October 3.
The hearing was held at Southampton Crown Court. A trial date has not yet been set.
