BURGLARS broke into a Leigh home and stole £8800 of goods.
They got into the house in the Fairway and grabbed cash and jewellery.
It happened between 8am and 12.30pm on Thursday, June 2.
PC Phil McCorkell, of Southend police, said: “Due to the location of the house, it’s likely that the burglars managed to enter the garden through Belfairs Woods. "I would therefore appeal to anyone who may have been in the woods last Thursday morning, which was during school half term holidays, to think back and let me know if they saw anyone acting suspiciously, especially in the areas that back onto housing.”
Pc McCorkell can be contacted at Southend police station on 0300 3334444.
