A Chalkwell road was closed after an accident involving a car and a 13-year-old boy.
Chalkwell Avenue was closed at the junction with London Road after an accident at about 4.10pm.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the teenager was taken to Southend Hospital with suspected leg fractures.
