POLICE seized three stolen vehicles worth £35,000 during a raid on an industrial estate.
The vehicles, two Volkswagen camper vans and an articulated lorry trailer, were recovered from Moorlands Industrial Estate, Tileworks Lane, Rettendon, during a joint police, customs, DVLA, VOSA and Environment Agency operation, codenamed Mulan.
In 2005 the site was linked to a stolen car ring with links to east London which shipped vehicles to Africa.
More recent raids have uncovered a cannabis factory, illegal red diesel production plant, a number of illegal scrap yards plus illegal immigrants.
