CLASSICAL music fans basked in evening sunshine as the proms came to Priory Park.
The world famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra played the tunes, lead by conductor David Arnold, who lives in Southend.
Determined to enjoy themselves, the audience brought Pimms and picnics to the park.
Some fans came from as far away as Devon to sample the sights and sounds of the concert in the park, and all took part in waving patriotic union flags.
The evening staged was by the Rayleigh Mill Rotary Club.
