THE c2c rail service between Upminster and Pitsea was closed between 10am and 12.50pm today, Monday, because of problems with a signal in the Upminster area.
After the line reopened, minor delays continued for several hours as the operator tried to clear the earlier backlog.
The c2c service operates between London Fenchurch Street and Shoebury.

Passengers face delays because the design of overhead line equipment meaning speed restrictions need to be in place in hot temperatures.
National Express East Anglia said it intended to operate a full evening peak service.
