A TV show filmed in Southend will be aired on Tuesday night at 9pm.
The Fairy Jobmother on Channel 4 will air its last episode which was filmed in Southend and features four women who are out of work.
Featured from Southend are Sue Riches, 54, who has been out of work for four years, Chelse Cooper, 21, who was made redundant two months ago, Dee Miller, 43, who has never had a full-time job, and Lianne Langley, 23, who has been out of work for three years.
The show was filmed at the end of April at the conference room at Southend Association of Voluntary Services in Alexandra Street, Southend.
Dan Turpin, of SAVS, said: “They were looking for some space and we were more than happy to have them. It was a bit mad with cameras everywhere.”
The number of jobless women in the UK is at a 20-year high, according to the show.
Hayley Taylor is the Fairy Jobmother and the show focuses on helping get Britain's unemployed back to work.
