Detectives have released CCTV following a vicious pub attack.
The 31-year-old victim was glassed in the face at the White Horse pub, in Southchurch Boulevard, Southend, leaving him with permanent scars.
It happened after he confronted two men over comments they were making towards a disabled man.
One of the men then struck the victim to the left side of his jaw with a pint glass, which caused a severe two inch long gash to his jaw and neck.
The cut needed a number of stitches. The two men then left the pub on foot at about 10.15pm on Tuesday, June 7.
Both men were white, aged in their 30s and between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 11ins tall.
One was slim with short brown hair, wearing a beige or cream coloured cap, light coloured top and pale three-quarter length shorts.
The other was of large, stocky build with dark medium-length hair. He wore a black T-shirt and trainers with brightly coloured thick laces.
Police believe they were not regulars at the pub. They gave the impression they were tradesmen, so may have been working in the area.
Anyone with information should call Det Con Richard Walker on 0300 333 4444 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
