BRIDE-TO-BE Zoe Hughes has arranged a hen night out with 45 friends and family who will wear wedding dresses.
Zoe and her group are sure to turn heads as they visit Bar Bluu and Talk nightclub, both in Lucy Road, Southend, on Saturday.
Miss Hughes, 34, said: “I’m actually wearing a bridesmaid dress, which will be a colour, so I’ll stand out.
“Everyone else is either wearing their own dress or they have bought one.
“I have a few friends who have recently got married and they said it was a shame they would never wear their dresses again and that’s when we thought it might be a fun idea.”
The group, and their sea of satin and lace, will start the night at Miss Hughes’s house in The Broadway, Thorpe Bay, before travelling into town together in a mini-bus.
The bridal party will be made up women in their late twenties to early sixties.
Miss Hughes said: “I wanted to do something original and memorable to celebrate my last few weeks as a single woman. I’m sure we’ll have a really good night and it’s just a bit of fun really.”
Miss Hughes, a mum-of-three, will wed Dan Shields at St Augustine’s Church, Thorpe Bay, on July 23 before having the reception at her mum Madeleine’s in Hockley.
After enjoying a hen do in Ibiza in May, Miss Hughes planned the Southend night out to see other friends and family.
