A CANDLE, which had been left unattended, sparked a flat blaze.
It had been left on top of a TV in a flat in Charlton Close, Pitsea when it burnt through.
Flames quickly spread and fire crews were called to the scene at 3.25am on Monday.
The flat was left damaged but no-one was injured.
