BURGLARS attempted to break into a Westcliff home.
They used a tool to try to get into the house in Bridgwater Drive through a UPVC front door, UPVC French doors and rear ground floor kitchen window.
But their attempts failed.
It happened between 7.10am and 6.10pm on Tuesday, November 15.
Pc Reece Brent, of Southend police, said: "Bridgwater Drive is located in a prominent position leading from the A127 through Southbourne Grove which is heavily used by commuters, pedestrians, and local people walking through the area. This incident highlights the need for all home owners to ensure that all sideways and passage ways are secure with high grade fencing and secure padlocks. I am sure that somebody must have seen something suspicious. Always report suspicious behaviour to police.”
Anyone with information should contact Pc Brent on 101.
